Used Honda Accords for Sale in the Market

Although the Honda Accord is now a mid-sized car, it was originally a compact. At the beginning, the plan was to introduce a car that could compete with the Mustang, but the fuel crisis of the 1970's changed the mind of the executives at Honda.

Current Rating
The Accord became a fuel-efficient, economy car. For this reason, used Honda Accords are easy to find in the market. They have a very good name in the world market as they are highly economical and affordable too.
Honda Civic
The Honda Civic was introduced as a sub-compact but evolved to a full compact in 2000 and is one of the best selling cars in the U.S. It must be noted that in Canada, the luxury version of the Civic is known as the Acura CSX. It's possible that you will find a used Acura CSX in the U.S., but its steeper price may not be worth it.
Toyota Corolla
Considered as one of the most popular compact cars in history, the Corolla is the best selling car of all times. It was introduced in 1966 and continues to be a fuel efficient and reliable machine. It is one of the best four door saloon car that any family can buy and use. Be careful not to confuse a used Corolla with a used Camry. The latter is considered the bigger brother of the Corolla and is more expensive and less economical.
Volkswagen Beetle
The Beetle from Volkswagen is considered the most popular car in history. That's why the company introduced a newer version in 1998. The New Beetle won Motor Trend's award for best import of 1999. This is one of the best 2-door cars that were manufactured along with the mini cooper on the other hand.
Hyundai Elantra
In 1991 the Hyundai Elantra was launched as a replacement for the older Hyundai Stellar. The Elantra is available as a sedan, a hatchback and a wagon. The engines have gone from 1.6L to 2.0L.
Mini Cooper
The Mini Cooper can't be considered a compact car - it's actually too small for that! Still it is a very popular model. The first Coopers appeared in 1959 and the model was re-introduced in 2000. All are 2-door and came with manual or automatic transmissions. The engine designed for the mini cooper is highly powerful and so the car reaches maximum speeds within a few seconds as the body weight is comparatively less to that of its engine capacity.

Some Final Thoughts

Obviously there are several brands from which you can choose from. Although it can be confusing to distinguish a compact car from a mid-sized car (for example, an older, used Monte Carlo), the majority of time the size of the car is a clear indicator.

If you want something smaller, then a used Mini Cooper is an excellent option. If you want something reliable, then the Toyota Corolla is the way to go. If you want a good looking car, with a sporty design, then you should be looking for used Mustangs for sale.
